Daddy Will You Dance With Me celebrates the crucial role Dads play in the lives of their daughters.

The first man a little girl loves, looks up to, and wants so much to please is her daddy. Time is so fleeting, and soon she’ll grow up. Often times if she doesn’t find the love she craves from her father, as a teenager she may run to the first boy’s open arms. Or, have scars of hidden pain and disappointment.

The good news is … it’s never to early, or ever too late for fathers and daughters to create lasting memories of harmony and love.

Author’s Note...

I was first inspired to write this book while watching our son-in-law, Mike, dance with each of his daughters at a wedding reception. They had such a closeness and so much fun together. Then later, I watched as our son, Brad, danced around the house with his daughter, Cydney. They laughed until they almost fell down! This convinced me that there was something very special about a father and daughter dancing. And I decided to commemorate this in my book.

But there was another reason I wrote this story. A reason I didn’t recognize until later.

When J Countryman—Thomas Nelson sent me the galleys (pages of the book), I went over them carefully looking for any errors. That afternoon I felt like the Lord whispered, “Do you realize the words you had the father say to the daughter are words you longed for your father to say to you as you grew up?” I was startled. Could this be? I went on reading and checking each word. He continued. “And, did you realize the words you had the daughter say were words you longed to say to your father?”

I realized at that moment that this book was not only a story for others, but a story of healing for me, too.

Someday I’ll see my father again and ask, “Daddy, will you dance with me?” He’ll say “Yes!” and we’ll make up for what we missed on earth and dance on streets of gold.

Until then, I’m excited to share this book with you, and I hope Daddy, Will You Dance with Me? will help unlock your heart to dance again.
