About Sandra

Shortly after Sandra Foster became a grandmother, she began telling stories to her grandchildren and captured their attention. She has told all seven of them stories and the younger ones still beg to hear them again and again, which she makes up on the spot and at a moment’s notice. They are quiet while driving in the car as they listen intently.

Sandra called her grandchildren frequently and told them short stories over the phone … about a lonely little spider walking down the street, or a little girl who had no one to play with. As they grew older, the stories got longer and filled with older content, like how Mr. Ceiling Fan met Miss Ceiling Fan in the next room.

Long-time friends encouraged Sandra to write her stories down and seek to have them published.

Storytelling started her on this literary journey, and now, by having them published, more people than just her grandchildren can enjoy them.

She likes to travel and has been to seventeen countries—Canada, Mexico, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Israel, England, Ireland, Hungary, Romania … and the USA … which would make it eighteen countries!

In the spring she attends Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference near San Jose, California, and February will find her at Jerry B. Jenkins Writers Guild at the Broadmoor Hotel, Colorado Springs. OCCWF (Orange County Christian Writers Fellowship), a day conference is in the spring also. She attends a monthly writers critique group in Pasadena, and a bi-monthly in Redlands. She tutored high school and junior high school students at T-Help (Trinity Home Educators Learning Program) for five years. She has attended CLASS conferences in Mesa, AZ; Denver, CO, Loma Linda, CA and Upper CLASS near Hartford, Connecticut. All these are highly recommended to learn more about the writing craft under excellent experts, meet writers and become good friends, and obtain new ideas for books / articles (she sometimes fears she will become a professional conferee).

Come back again soon to my home on the web. Pardon our dust while it continues to be under construction. New things will be added soon that you won’t want to miss.

God bless you,
                                                        Sandee
